Dear Kampala Capital City Authority,

I stand in solidarity with Ugandan youth advocates who want to make Kampala safer for girls.

I support their campaign for a safer Kampala free from violence and harassment by asking you to pledge to:

- ensure adequate security lighting on all streets in an around Kampala city
- demolish unfinished buildings that pose a risk to safety of many girls and young women
- ensure every street is named for ease of movement and effective response in cases of threats to safety
- ensure all building plans provide easy access for persons with a disability
- clean trenches to avoid flooding
- ensure public toilets are adequate, accessible and safe
- create an awareness campaign on the causes and impacts of violence and harassment on girls

How we use the data you enter on this form

Do Gooder (the advocacy platform powering this online action) processes personal information from you that you enter on this form so that we can provide the functions and related services to you and The Campaigner (the organisation responsible for this online action) for their legitimate purposes, including possibly exporting it to other systems, and to effectively respond to enquiries and communications related to those services.

  • Your location data (residential address or postcode) it is used to locate your elected representative, to pre-populate your email signature and to provide The Campaigner with a visualisation of the location of the support for this campaign.
